We are passionate about consuming less, reducing our waste and using sustainable and eco-friendly products. With stores full of fast fashion, it can be difficult to find quality products that meet those requirements especially when it comes to shoes. Many times, it can be difficult to know whether all the material used is vegan such as glue. That’s why we were happy to discover Will’s Vegan Shoes.
Will’s Vegan Store was founded in 2012 by Will Green and offers a variety of vegan clothing, shoes, and accessories. From the fabrics to the glue, all materials used for their products are vegan and sustainably made. Will’s uses recycled rubber for the soles of their shoes. Eco-friendly, Italian vegan leather made with plants is also used for most of their vegan shoes and accessories. The leather is produced from cereal crops grown in northern Europe to create a bio-oil in a carbon-neutral process.
The vegan leather used by Will’s is durable, breathable and easy to clean. Because these shoes are not made with animal leather or suede, you won’t have to worry about your shoes being ruined by rain or snow.
We wore our shoes during our recent trip to Disneyland and rode several water rides without any issues. Will’s shoes are incredibly comfortable and sturdy. We clocked in over 10 miles in one day in them and felt fully supported without experiencing any discomfort. We received plenty of compliments as well and a few people were surprised to learn they were vegan.
What excited us most about receiving our shoes was how they were packaged. Will’s Vegan Store operates a plastic-free Carbon Neutral supply chain. The shoes come in a non-treated biodegradable cardboard box. They are then wrapped in a non-treated, biodegradable paper shipping bag. Even the tape they use to seal the bag is made of plastic-free and sustainable sources. We wish every company were this environmentally conscious when it came to shipping and overall production.
If that weren’t enough to make you love this company, all items from Will’s Vegan Store are Carbon Neutral. Everything they do is analyzed in detail from producing their merchandise, to running their online vegan store to shipping orders. They then calculate their total carbon emissions for the year and offset them by investing in renewable energy projects. It can’t get much better than that.
The style of Will’s products is minimalistic, simplistic and classic and will never go out of style. We have had a few people have negative reactions when we told them the price of these shoes. For us, it’s quality over quantity and these shoes are a quality product. We have no doubts they will last us for years and we look forward to purchasing more in the future.
