Polarized Eco-Friendly Sunglasses

Updated: Oct 28, 2019

Quality over quantity is something we have adopted over the years as well as purchasing from ethical companies. In the past, we used to buy cheap sunglasses and were more concerned about style than durability and quality. I can’t tell you how many of our sunglasses sadly ended up in landfills.

We’ve grown up and started paying attention to the companies in which we purchase from. Ethics plays a big part when it comes to choosing who we give our money to. That’s why we were happy to come across SOLO Eyewear when scrolling through Instagram.

SOLO Eyewear creates environmentally responsible sunglasses constructed using recycled plastic, repurposed bamboo, and even cork. This has saved hundreds of pounds of virgin plastic from being produced each year reducing the company’s carbon footprint. SOLO also recycles defective sunglasses and repurposes packing materials.

Sunglass cases and cords are sourced from a group of female artisans in Panajachel, Guatemala. This effort from SOLO helps families escape poverty by paying them fair wages and exposing their products to global markets.

In addition to making Eco-Friendly eyewear, SOLO has also restored vision for people in need. The company donates 10% of its profits helping to restore vision for 13,000+ people in need. The donations provide funding for eye exams, eyeglasses, and cataract surgeries. Partnering with Aravind Eye Care System and Restoring Vision, 32 countries have benefited from SOLO’s sight-restoring philanthropy.

We applaud SOLO’s efforts to not only change lives but help the environment along the way. Their sunglasses are stylish and comfortable and have even sparked interest among our friends and family. Learn more about the company and check their cool styles at www.soloeyewear.com
